First Notes
This page is to show you what the note names you’ll play are and where they are. Notes are called a letter between “A” and “G”. After the note, there is sometimes a number which shows how high or low the note is. A3 is lower than A5. The number will also tell you where to put the note on a scale if you know how. After the letter which sometimes has a number that follows it, there is often a marking that modifies the sound of the note. The first marking we learn is sharp and flat. A note that is sharp is just a little higher than the same note that is not sharp. A note that is flat is just a little lower than the same note that is not flat.

An Introduction to the notes you will see with a common whistle.
